Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the GoodDay Briefing iOS application and related pages on sunseaapps.com. By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using GoodDay Briefing, you agree to these Terms.

1. Apple Standard EULA

The GoodDay Briefing app is licensed, not sold. Your use of the app is also governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”). These Terms supplement the Apple Standard EULA. If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA controls to the extent required for an App Store-distributed application.

2. Eligibility and permitted use

You may use GoodDay Briefing only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. The app is designed primarily around U.S. locations and U.S. public information sources. Some features may not be available or accurate outside supported locations.

3. Subscriptions and free trials

GoodDay Briefing may require an auto-renewable subscription to access the app. Available plans, prices, billing periods, and trial eligibility are displayed before purchase.

• A free trial, when offered and when you are eligible, begins when confirmed through Apple.
• At the end of the trial, the selected subscription renews at the displayed price unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled.
• Apple processes billing, taxes, renewals, refunds, and payment methods. I do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.
• Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription.
• Use “Restore Purchases” in the app to request that Apple restore an eligible existing subscription.
• Trial eligibility and refunds are determined by Apple and applicable law.

4. No account and local app data

GoodDay Briefing does not currently require a developer account. Home Area, Family Weather locations, preferences, and saved items are primarily stored on your device. Removing the app may remove locally stored information.

5. Information and safety limitations

GoodDay Briefing summarizes and displays information from third-party and public sources. It is not an emergency-warning system and is not a substitute for official government, emergency, weather, health, travel, road, campground, venue, or event information.

• Do not rely on GoodDay Briefing as your only source for severe-weather or emergency alerts.
• Confirm campground availability, road restrictions, RV suitability, operating hours, ticket availability, prices, and event details directly with the official provider.
• Activity and outdoor suggestions are general information, not medical, fitness, or professional safety advice.
• Joint-comfort, UV, air-quality, heat, and similar indicators are informational and are not medical diagnoses or treatment advice.
• Do not use the app while driving in a way that distracts you or violates applicable law.

6. Third-party services and content

The app may use or link to Apple services, Google Firebase, Google Cloud, Open-Meteo, the U.S. National Weather Service, AirNow, Recreation.gov/RIDB, Ticketmaster, maps, websites, venues, and other third-party providers. Third-party content and services are controlled by their providers and may change, become unavailable, or be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.

I do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability, legality, or suitability of third-party content, listings, prices, directions, alerts, or services.

7. Text-to-speech and generated audio

Spoken briefings may be generated using Google Cloud Text-to-Speech through a protected backend, with Apple on-device speech used as a fallback. Generated speech may contain pronunciation or interpretation errors. Audio is provided for convenience and should not be treated as an authoritative source.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• misuse, overload, probe, attack, or attempt to bypass security controls protecting the app or backend;
• extract, copy, resell, scrape, or commercially exploit app data except where permitted by law or the original provider;
• reverse engineer the app except to the limited extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
• use the app for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity;
• interfere with another person’s use of the app or third-party services.

9. Availability, changes, and termination

Features, providers, limits, supported locations, and content may change. I may suspend or discontinue a feature when needed for security, maintenance, legal compliance, provider changes, cost control, or product development. I may restrict access when these Terms are violated or when needed to protect the app and its users.

10. Intellectual property

GoodDay Briefing, its original design, branding, software, and original content are owned by Volodymyr Vechirnii or licensed for use. Third-party trademarks, data, and content remain the property of their respective owners. No Apple, Google, government agency, venue, or data provider endorses GoodDay Briefing unless explicitly stated by that provider.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoodDay Briefing is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so those exclusions may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the app, third-party information, missed alerts, travel decisions, event changes, campground or RV issues, data loss, or service interruptions. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Privacy

The GoodDay Briefing Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and forms part of these Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without limiting consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law of your place of residence. Apple’s Standard EULA includes additional terms regarding legal jurisdiction and third-party beneficiary rights.

15. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms when the app, subscriptions, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
